Question: What sparked your interest in boating?
Answer: My passion for boating began at an early age with my father and has continued to grow throughout my life. There’s something special about being on the water—the sense of freedom, adventure, and connection to nature is unlike anything else. Over the years, I’ve enjoyed learning about all types of vessels and the unique experiences the different designs provide. Whether it’s a leisurely cruise or an extended voyage, boating brings people together and creates lasting memories. That passion naturally led me to the yacht brokerage industry, where I have the opportunity to help others find the right boat to match their lifestyle and dreams on the water.
Question: What is your Favorite Sailing Destination?
Answer: Lake Superior & the Apostle Islands! Its vast islands, amazing shoreline, and beautiful sand harbors offer a truly unique boating experience. The combination of breathtaking scenery, historic ports, and the feeling of exploring one of the world’s largest freshwater lakes makes every trip memorable. There is always something new to discover, whether it’s a secluded anchorage, the sea caves, or simply a spectacular sunset over the water.
Question: What excites you about joining Superior Charters?
Answer: I’m excited to join a team that shares a genuine passion for sailing and customer service. Superior Charters has built a strong reputation for helping clients enjoy the boating lifestyle, and I’m looking forward to contributing to that mission. What excites me most is the opportunity to work with boaters at every stage of their journey—from first-time buyers to experienced owners—and help them navigate important decisions with confidence. Being part of a knowledgeable and dedicated team is an opportunity I’m truly grateful for.
Question: What can boat buyers/sellers expect in 2026?
Answer: As we move into 2026, I expect the boating market to remain healthy, with buyers continuing to place a premium on well-maintained, properly equipped vessels. Sellers who invest in preparing their boats for the market—through maintenance, cleaning, and complete documentation—will continue to have an advantage. Buyers can expect a good selection of quality inventory, but the best boats are still likely to attract strong interest. Working with an experienced broker will remain important for both buyers and sellers to navigate pricing, negotiations, and market conditions successfully. Overall, I believe the outlook for recreational boating remains positive as more people continue to embrace time on the water with family and friends.
