Want a carefree getaway or not qualified to sail on your own? Superior Charters offers Captained Charters to accommodate your Apostle Islands boating vacation. This option is available on any of our sail or power yachts! This is a popular option for families or couples looking for a unique vacation experience. Follow the Booking a Charter process and let us know when you book that you would like to have a Captained Charter. We will make the arrangements for a licensed captain to accompany you.
Select the Boat from our extensive charter fleet. Our yachts range in size from 27 – 46 feet and offer a large variety of options.
Select the Dates for your charter vacation. Your trip with us can be as short as two days, with complementary pre-boarding the night before your first day of charter. The average charter trip is four days.
Leave the Details to Us at Superior Charters and we will schedule one of our professional U.S. Coast Guard licensed captains who are very familiar with the Apostle Islands cruising grounds. They will safely take your group into the islands, anchor out or slip back into a marina, it is up to you. The licenses held by our captains limit the maximum number of passengers to six.
The Accommodations are comfortable aboard all of our yachts and we will work with you to select the right boat for your party. Typically, you will sleep onboard the boat in harbor, with complementary boarding the evening prior to the first day of your Captained Charter. The boat you charter may accommodate up to six persons. You will need to bring your own bedding and towels. There are heads and a galley on all boats.
The Provisions are brought by you and your party as with all ‘bare-boat’ charters. For the most part, meals are prepared and eaten on board the boat. Please include your Captain in your meal plans.
The Cost is the charter fee for the yacht you selected which runs $500 – $2,900 for a two day trip plus the captain's fees – $200 per 8 hour day and an additional $50 per night if you want to anchor out which requires the Captain to stay aboard overnight. Or you may book them for half a day at $130 or $50/hour. For partial days, the Captain will return the yacht to the marina and your party can enjoy the local attractions.
