June 23, 2007 will be the second 'Unofficial' Latitudes and Attitudes Great Lakes Cruiser's Party in the Apostle Islands, hosted by Superior Charters.
For those of you familiar with the magazine, Latitudes and Attitudes is dedicated to the cruising lifestyle, you know that the L&A Cruiser parties are famous the world over for food, fun, sun, sailing and an overall fabulous time. Last year's party was a great hit with over 175 people attending.
The historic town of Bayfield, long known as the Gateway to the Apostle Islands is only a few minutes away. With Five star dining, boutique shopping, and world class art galleries—Bayfield has it all. Bayfield visitors delight in visiting the downtown and nearby shops and galleries. A noted artist community, Bayfield runs the gamut from pottery to painting to photography and offers shoppers and browsers an eclectic mix of buying and viewing opportunities .
This Cruisers party presents a great opportunity to experience for yourself the wonder that is the Apostle Islands. The 21 islands of the Apostle Islands are in close proximity to each other and provide a sailor's paradise, often referred to as the Caribbean of the North. Summer breezes of 10-18 mph will delight you, along with the pristine beauty of this remote wilderness.
You can also bring your own boat. Launch ramps are available in the towns of Washburn and Bayfield. Transient slips will be available at either Pike's Bay Marina or Port Superior.
