Previously owned by Dave and Bernice Nixon, the 2004 season saw the successful transition to the new owners Dick and Cindy Kalow. Having been both charter clients and charter boat owners in previous years, the Kalows were excited to take the helm at Superior Charters. Combining their business expertise with their passion for sailing and the Apostle Islands, the Kalows continue the tradition of exceptional yacht charter service crafted by the Nixon family.
Dick and Cindy continue the history of a hands-on approach in maintaining the friendly atmosphere and high level of customer service that has been the hallmark of Superior Charter’s operations since its inception. The entire Kalow family is actively involved in daily operations. Additionally, retaining the key staff that has been with Superior Charters for nearly 20 years and adding several others, Superior Charters crew is well equipped to create care-free and enjoyable Apostle Island cruising getaways.
